Hi family!
Just a note to let you know that a lot of my stocks have been temporarily disabled by Deviant Art -- i have since moved them to photomanipulation category and have my attorney looking into the matter now.
The last time I went through this - i was offered a public apology by DA - and it seems it's happening again.
How many stockers here on DA use purchased stock to create pre-mades?  COUNTLESS of us - yet I am the one to have deviations removed.
I think to say i have to fill out forms for some 100+ deviations - when others are not having to do this laboursome chore is ridiculous.
I have stuff purchased from renderosity, shutterstock, istock, on and on -- most of them are given to me through the studios i freelance with -- since they have bulk subscriptions.....
Please note I do not allow my premades  to be used commercially - and state so very clearly on each deviation.  I even went so far as to disable downloading and posting in small sizes due to the amount of people breaking the rules... :(

Just wanted to update you as to why the stocks are not showing....
DA has bigger fish to fry and this is what they spend their time on... amazing.

They had best start lining up a long list of other stockers doing the same thing -- i know I am...

if you had your eye on something that isn't here let me know -- if i start getting a lot of notes, I'll probably create a place offsite where you can come and grab them.  Sound good?

Peace,

Claudia

Your images are WONDERFUL... and is that not the point of stock art to use in part of your own piece... keep up the great work,

I tend to be pro-Claudia so none should be surprised by my reflecting tend to query about moving or having your work on other art sites. When I visited those other very high quality and amazing sites, I was pleased how your work was presented there. They favor and protect the work of the artist far more than what Deviant does; they present a higher resolution and are far more careful regarding the details addressing advanced and currently secure technologies - far better than Deviant does.

I like Deviant only because I can write comments and sometimes it is like sharing a story with you and sometimes other artists posting their work on Deviant. You may not know when I visit Deviant I focus upon you, Pirate Princess, and maybe one or two others who have my affection and loyalty. Rest assured if you abandon Deviant for it's silliness; I will not cry or complain. I'll follow you. The others I'll visit on Deviant until they also move elsewhere; I will follow them there.

So you've got my email; drop me a line and I'm gone from here. No Problem!!

Well..
I don't know I sorta understand both sides.
You do have permission to make premades but also dA wants to make sure nothing 'illegal' goes around.
But how can dA know that a resource is really yours? I mean for example I make a premade and I say I only used my own stock but in fact I use stock from many users mixed in a way they can't recognize their stock inside.
How's that correct?
I'm really upset I still haven't found out how to report a post as being offensive and not spam, where the hell do you report a deviant (from their profile).
Why can't we remove comments in our OWN deviation/page or edit.. we can only hide them.. like that's enough.
dA truly lacks a lot of things and instead of picking on art right now they should take care of the deviants first.
Those with abusive language, those who post pictures of their own.. well lets say genitals with no effect of 'art' at all or something..
I've seen lots, I've reported, but few days later I've seen again, no notification received so for sure they haven't been dealt with.

Yeah - completely understand what you are saying.
I also think it has become increasingly easy to tell which people are just plain abusing the system and have no track record here as opposed to many of us who have stuck it out and are tried and true.

How many celebrity manips have I seen - STILL -- and no one takes them down EVEN after reporting it five or six times... some are well known deviants...
just don't get it.

And then - well.... there's my case -- I said "no commercial usage" - i posted low res - i disabled downloadinging except for right click "save as" --
You would think that would show I am trying to do what's right - and also to stop the abuse by deviants who kept breaking my rules for the premade.
I had one person who kept making premades from my premade - i asked her to stop - nope --
they all suddenly seem to get really stupid or have a language barrier the minute you catch them in something..
no english - don't understand you.
I wonder if they understand the word "THIEF". lol
Frustrating!

I feel you there.
I use premades too, but I respect the rules, and if I haven't and someone tells me 'dumbhead u did that u shouldnt' I correct my mistake.
I just hope everything sorts out. We've lost many great stockers who rather sell their stocks somewhere else than give them here for free and have their rules broken.. Sad.

yeah seriously...they don't spend any time banning the people who get reported on EVERY DEVIATION OVER AND OVER that violates a rule such as explicit and mature content (I mean really? someone who is repeatedly told to edit deviations because of reports continue to break rules as if they don't know of such rules. it's ridiculous and they need to ban people who break the rules for the same thing more than twice)

Are you talking about people in the stock and resources gallery? Or other galleries?
